Riverside Police have arrested a guitar instructor on Thursday, July 28 for allegedly committing a lewd act on a child, a statement released Friday, said.
Detectives from the sexual assault and child abuse unit began investigating a possible child annoyance incident that occurred in the Orangecrest neighborhood of Riverside.
Based on information learned from the investigation, Nathaniel Hernandez, 27, is believed to have committed a lewd act with a child under the age of 14 years old, the statement said.
Detectives submitted the case to the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.
On Thursday members of the Riverside Police Department’s METRO (SWAT) team located and arrested the suspect in Moreno Valley.
Hernandez, who sometimes spells his first name Nathanael, was a guitar instructor at a music business in Riverside and taught several people, including children, the statement said.
Due to Hernandez’ access to children, it is believed there could be other victims who have not yet come forward.
