HENRYVILLE, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – A Monroe County man is accused of attacking several police officers. On Monday, Pocono Township Police were called to a home off Route 715 for reports of a man attacking his landlord with a guitar.
Eyewitness News was there when police were investigating near a pond on the property.
When authorities arrived, they found Christopher Simpson wearing body armor. Simpson claimed he was a U.S. Mashal, and told police to drop their weapons.
According to court papers, Simpson punched and spit on the officers trying to detain him.
Simpson was arraigned Wednesday from the hospital. A judge set his bail at $100,000 dollars.
