ARNOLDS PARK — Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Music Association announced its new Executive Director, Cindy Stanbro, last week. Stanbro comes to Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Music Association from West Des Moines with a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector and a deep desire to make a difference in her community.

“Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Music Association is poised in an exciting position to be able to positively affect the future of music in Iowa. We look to be the leader of all things music in the state while helping to showcase Iowa talent and provide opportunities of growth and networking.” Stanbro said. “I believe listening to a community is a big key to success and I am thrilled to make Iowa artists a priority statewide.”

She has always been an ambassador for live entertainment and local artists. Her entrepreneurial spirit lead her and her husband Jason to found a 501(c)(3) theater called The Winterset Stage in 2010 to bring people together through the arts. Part of her responsibilities at The Winterset Stage included designing and implementing year-round programming as well as live music events.

Stanbro enjoys collaborating with community members, artists and business leaders to serve communities. Her significant knowledge in all aspects of running a nonprofit made her the perfect candidate for the position.

The Iowa Rock ‘n’ Roll Music Association is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to preserve the legacy of rock music in Iowa by honoring achievements, educating youth and inspiring artists.
