Fronted by Otep Shamaya, his namesake band will thunder into Lincoln’s Royal Grove on Wednesday with the band’s new album, “Kult 45,” in tow. The title is in reference to our 45th president, and Shamaya has some choice words for him. Tickets via etix.com.

Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen performs at the 12th annual Stand Up For Heroes benefit concert at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.



It’s been a bit since Bruce Springsteen has come to town, but don’t fret about The Boss’ absence. In his place, rock tribute kings Rock and Roll Suicide will play Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” in its entirety at Slowdown on Saturday. Tickets at ticketfly.com.

On the slate for next week:

Acoustic-electronic-dub-rock is a genre Jon Wayne and the Pain have cornered, and you can see them do it at Reverb Lounge on Dec. 20. Tickets, $12,  at etix.com.

Once again, Mannheim Steamroller will play a pair of hometown Christmas concerts. The Omaha-based group will play the Orpheum Theater on Dec. 22 and 23. Tickets via Ticket Omaha.

Blue Martian Tribe’s annual Frostival event full of local acts, this time expanding to both The Waiting Room Lounge and Reverb Lounge on Dec. 22. Tickets, $15, at etix.com.

JUST ANNOUNCED

Liquid Stranger is a hugely popular Swedish dubstep producer, and he’ll play Slowdown on March 3. Tickets, $22, go on sale Wednesday at noon at ticketfly.com.

Reggae and dub band Stick Figure will swing through Slowdown on April 12. Tickets, $26, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at ticketfly.com.

Hard rock bands Godsmack and Volbeat are coming to Omaha. The pair will play Baxter Arena on April 23. Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.

The Avett Brothers will bring their sweet, sweet songs to Lincoln’s Pinewood Bowl on May 17. Tickets go on sale Friday at noon via Ticketmaster.

Dwight Yoakam is coming back to town. The “Guitars, Cadillacs” and “Fast As You” country singer will play Stir Cove on May 23. Tickets to see Yoakam go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.

Coming a little later than planned:

Justin Timberlake postponed his concert at CHI Health Center to March 23. Tickets for Saturday’s show will be honored at the new date. Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.
