A Tea woman got a souvenir of a lifetime when Garth Brooks signed his guitar for her during Saturday night’s show at the Premier Center.
Brooks noticed the woman’s sign, “This Special Olympic Athlete wants to meet you” and asked her to hand it to him to sign.
Brooks tried to sign it, but the marker wouldn’t work on the paper.
“That’s crazy. Tell you what, let’s see if we can’t find something else to sign.”
He then looked down at his guitar to a loud
As he began to sign it, 19-year-old Haylie Weber, who was the recipient of the guitar, could be seen crying tears of joy.
As of Sunday night, a video of the moment posted on YouTube has been viewed 70,000 times.
“She cried tears of joy when her mom told her she got tickets to see Garth,” said Jodi Rausch, who posted the video to Facebook. “So you can imagine the excitement she felt about the guitar. She’s pretty protective of it but loves showing it off.”
