SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) Garth Brooks keeps on surprising fans who come to his shows.
KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, S.D., reports Brooks autographed his guitar and gave it to 19-year-old Haylie Weber.
She was in the sixth row of his Saturday concert holding a sign that says, “This Special Olympic athlete wants to meet Garth.”
Weber says it’s a dream come true because she plays guitar too. Brooks stopped his Friday show to say hello to 95-year-old Lois Nickolai, whose friends brought a sign that said, “I’ve been waiting 95 years to see Garth Brooks.”
In the past months, Brooks has paid for the honeymoon of a couple at his Oklahoma City concert and revealed the gender of another couple’s unborn baby.
